Born in Colombo on the island of Sri Lanka, Chari Godakanda was a kid with a passion: photography. His parents bought him his very first camera when he was 10 years old. It was a Kodak 110 which he cherished. In his teens, his focus became wildlife photography. He spent many hours in the National Wildlife Parks of Sri Lanka, studying and photographing the best of the wild. After coming to California in 1996, he began shooting portraits & working in photo digital imaging, which led to digital photography. With over 12 years of photography & digital imaging experience, Chari specializes in digital photography that ranges from people, to products, to places. He continues to study photographic theory and uses the latest equipment to stay firmly in touch with all the new developments. Chari Godakanda is available for in studio and location shooting throughout the United States. He holds fast to the belief that every task deserves his full attention.
